VERSES     

 A Shining Symbol:  Hunger games verse ; Born in Twelve, Aoi was sent to One to be turned into a mutt due to their disabilities. However Papa Holden - a scientist on the project - faked their death so he could save them. From then on they lived a richer childhood than what would've awaited them in Twelve. At age 14 she was befriended by a gamemaker-in-training by the name of Elias Jaune. His fascination with her different demeanor sent him down a rabbit hole, culminating in the discovery of their true history. From this point forward he had a vision.A year later Elias would be the head gamemaker of the 46th games at age 17. He went to the Holden parents and pressured them into letting Aoi into the reaping by dangling the information over their heads and threatening to give it to President Snow. An action that would lead to Papa Holden's execution. Aoi was reaped and subsequently became the star of the tributes as Elias intended. Everyone pitied the young cripple. Meanwhile the young cripple hatched her own plan.They announced during their interview that they were originally born in Twelve and was loyal to them instead of One. Panem was enthralled. However Aoi didn't expect to survive. Elias had made it clear in meeting them that he would do everything he could to make her win. Dying would be their own way of winning against.He still won. Aoi tried their best to die, even burning their face in the arena's acid river in hopes of deterring Elias's obsession at the last second. She was the victor. And with President Snow's help Elias had their face reconstructed to its former perfection. Now she sits as his personal companion and a painter adored by the masses. In secret they hide messages of rebellion for others to find, begging for people to not lose hope.

 Federally Protected Magic:  MCU verse ; Aoi was born into the Inhuman sanctuary run by Jiaying. However she cast them out after she opened a forbidden book - it was left out in the open! She was a curious child. - and activated a terragenesis gem inside it. Aoi was left orphaned and with time stasis powers they didn't understand. SHIELD found her and brought her in for examination and protection. Under its eye they blossomed into a fierce and independent advocate for protection of those with powers and those from other planets.During the events of Winter Soldier Aoi was told to go awol due to their file being among those leaked by Natasha Romanov. Once again abandoned, she instead started saving for an apartment of their own at age 16. From there they would keep a paper database of people with powers they met. Her apartment became a safe place for anyone needing a warm bed without any worry about how to pay Aoi back. She's now known in underground inhuman networks as Anzen-sei, safety that others seek.(note: Aoi is willing to help with situations involving the avengers and other superheroes with the explicit understanding among the ones they work with that she will not stay on the team after. Her work is more important.)

 Droid Painter:  Star Wars Verse ; Aoi grew up as an orphan, raised as an apprentice by a droids craftsman. Their status as force-sensitive has yet to be found out. Whatever emotional outbursts she throws at people are seen as the frustrations of an abandoned child. As such, she buries the emotions as she grows older. The only things worth living for are droids and a good bit of paint splattered across a canvas. (The latter often happening when Aoi is angry.)Upon growing up they've inherited their father's droid workshop. She swallows the willful desire to sell it all and find a desert to die in. Instead they continue his work, adding on droid shell customization to it. Whatever pull the Force has goes unnoticed. Emotion is poured into work. Power is poured into knowledge. Working with droids means that those in power come to their shop. Secrets are learned and kept, but to what end they don't know. Money is spent only on upgrading the workshop and themself. Such work is hard on a cripple's body.

 Quiet Happiness:  Modern verse ; Elias doesn't exist. Neither does magic. Aoi grew up as an adopted child of the Holdens, abandoned by their mother as a baby. They own a small art business with its own storefront, showcasing both their own art and the art of other disabled people in the area. They also help advocate for chronically ill patients in the hospital. Overall they're dedicated to bettering the treatment of the disabled community in the area.           Elements that can be added or replaced   Twist #1 ; Aoi is instead a singer/songwriter who creates dreampop and bedroom pop with lyrics that on the injustices of ableism and transphobia. While the music isn't punk in sound, it's punk in attitude. They still advocate for their community and perform at local bars and clubs. Most of their following comes from videos posted online.Twist #2 ; Aoi is a drag queen under the name Celia Ripple (C. Ripple) at local clubs. They're known for their musical sense and the way they weave the art and their mobility aids.Twist #3 ; Aoi is married - in an open polyamorous relationship - and has twins, a girl named Shinju and a boy named Takara. Her partner is Fen, a former classmate of theirs from university and her first love.

 Siren Shark:  The Boys Verse ; Naturally born a supe, Aoi's parents wanted nothing to do with her. The way their teeth fell out and came back in as shark teeth scared the adults thoroughly. And when they grew gills at six months, her mother was done. As an infant Aoi was given to the Rising Tide Church, a cult that worshipped the sea. Aoi was groomed to become the church's deity by its leader. She often sat in on services, receiving gifts and sacrifices. Things from sheep to the disgusting sacrifice of those who strayed from the cult's teachings. This became normal for them until Vought swooped in and shut the cult down.Now age ten, Aoi was put into a program to re-educate and integrate back into a more decent society. Although she moved past the cannibalistic phase, her anger at how little the world seemed to care for her stayed. As they moved from the program to a full school for supes the anger remained. They caused fights, threatened to eat the other students, and would run away a few times a year. It wasn't until they found art and music that they calmed down. As she excelled, Vought found its new star supe.The moment Aoi graduated high school Vought thrust a contract at her. Be a Supe under their management, get the healthcare and housing they needed, and sing. While they weren't keen on the singing, they didn't care so long as they could earn money and not have to worry about getting treatment and appointments. Thus, she ended up in a nightmare. Vought was no different from the cult. Every bit of her life was managed down to how she could behave in public. The music she had wasn't their own and leaned towards what one might hear from Kpop or japanese idol pop. Nothing changed Aoi was moved to join the Seven either. The pressure from all sides tore her down. Vought wasn't going to continue controlling them. They'd run, and keep running, for as long as needed.                                          Sub Verses    The Shark:  Aoi joins The Boys in hopes of bringing Vought down. Her trauma and anger brings her to a point of relying on substances. Despite it all they do their best to fight. The Siren:  After disappearing and relocating to somewhere remote, Aoi starts making their own music and art again. She stays publicly amicable with Vought but also keeps her music indie and away from Vought's grasp.
